What is Sonic Pest Control?

One of the newest and most interesting trends in pest control is sonic pest control. You may also hear this referred to as ultrasonic pest control. This method of controlling unwanted rodents and insects involves a device which emits a sonic frequency which repels unwanted pests. These devices can be used in homes and businesses. There are quite a few benefits to this method. One is that you don't have to worry about toxic sprays or dangerous traps. If you've got children or pets you don't want to have poisonous chemicals or potentially harmful traps around your home.

Because these devices work with no discernable sound to human ears, you don't even know they're working. But they are, because the frequency they emit is extremely uncomfortable for rodents and insects. This sound drives away the pests because they are unable to stand it. You might wonder if these ultrasonic devices are safe for pets like dogs, cats and hamsters. Fortunately, they are designed not to bother housepets, only pests. The frequency is designed not to be uncomfortable for pets. Therefore, you can use a sonic device with confidence even if you have pets in the house. A pet mouse, however, may be a different story!

There have been some controversies regarding this type of pest control. Some experts claim this method works, others say it is ineffective. It's certainly worth a try if you have a problem with pests. You can find these sonic devices at most any home improvement store like Home Depot. You can also order them online and sometimes even off of television shopping channels like QVC. Over the past few years this method of pest control has become more and more popular.

If you find that sonic pest control doesn't get rid of all your unwanted pests as you'd hoped, it's possible you need more than one device for the area you're trying to treat. Read the package instructions to find out how large of an area the device is designed to treat. You might also want to use this type of pest control in conjunction with other types of pest control like traps or sprays. There are plenty of options for anyone who wants to get rid of unwanted rodents and insects. The key is to choose the method that works best for your home and your family.
